MSA Kumar

Mr. Kumar M S A is a Post Graduate in Management from IIM Ahmedabad (1976) and brings over five decades of rich experience in Sales, Marketing, and General Management. He has held senior leadership roles across industries, including 20 years as Managing Director at AVT McCormick Ingredients and AVT Natural Products. He was instrumental in establishing these organisations and steering them to industry-wide recognition, including featuring in Forbes’ Top 200 in the Asia-Pacific and CNBC’s Emerging India Awards.

He has served in key industry leadership positions, including Chairman of CII Kerala, All India Spice Exporters Forum (AISEF), and TiE Kerala. His contributions have been acknowledged through several prestigious honours, such as Kerala Management Association’s “Management Leadership Award” and a Lifetime Achievement Award from The Horticultural Society of India.

Since 2015, Kumar has been deeply engaged in Family Business Transformation, helping entrepreneurial families strengthen governance, succession, alignment, and professionalization. He specialises in crafting Family Constitutions rooted in shared values, designing Performance Management Systems, and resolving complexities arising from evolving ownership and leadership structures. His extensive work includes mentoring NextGen members, enabling smooth leadership transitions, and equipping family businesses to scale sustainably.

A Certified CEO Coach from the Coaching Foundation of India and a trained MBTI practitioner, he has coached CEOs, business leaders, and successors across sectors, enhancing leadership effectiveness and organisational clarity. He has also anchored the Global Owner Manager Program at SP Jain Institute of Management and continues to serve as an Advisor to the All India Spice Exporters Forum. His client portfolio spans diverse family enterprises across India and the Middle East.
